Location

There are several options getting to the Retreat Center located at 195 17th Street in Pacific Grove, at the corner of Lighthouse and 17th streets. 

Click on the map to get driving directions. The location is approximately 1.5 - 2 hours south of the San Francisco Bay Area and approximately 5 hours north of Los Angeles and sits along the central coast of California. 

It is located just 3 blocks away from Lover's Point! There are plenty of places to eat and shop walking distance from the center. 

The weather can change in an instant so be prepared with layers. 

There is free and ample 2 and 3 hour street parking along Lighthouse and surrounding area.

There are steps leading into the center so it is not wheelchair accessible. 

The retreat center is roughly 20 minutes from the retreat center. It offers limited flights but is the closest airport in the area. It's a small airport with easy access and little traffic. From the airport you can either rent a car or hire a rideshare or taxi to the retreat center. 

The closest large airport is the San Jose Airport which is approximately 78 miles from the retreat center and depending on the traffic (worse on Fri evenings) can take 1.5 - 3 hours to get to/from the airport. You can rent a car or book a ride with the Monterey airport shuttle which has daily rides to and from the SJC airport. The shuttle drops off at the Calle Principal bus stop is a short 10 min. drive from the retreat center. Lyft/Uber recommended for the final part of the journey. 

Most direct flights to the Bay Area will take place from SFO. It is a large, international airport with multiple terminals, trams, etc. It can be a bit daunting for the inexperienced traveler. From SFO you can take the Monterey Shuttle which is a 4 hour ride down to Monterey. Or if you choose to rent a vehicle, it can take 3 - 4 hours to drive down to Monterey. A drive down the coast on Highway 1 can add to the beauty of your trip!
